Philippians 3:7-8 “But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss
for Christ. (8) Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss
for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have
suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung,
that I may win Christ,
The Kingdom of heaven is like unto Treasure hid in a field.
Also, the Kingdom of heaven is like a Pearl of great price.
The two above “Treasure & Pearl” are of great value and
quality that makes the finder sells of his life time investment to purchase it;
i.e. to buy it. To the finder, the Treasure or the Pearl is of great gain,
great love and great fulfilment to him.
The Treasure and the Pearl are those things that make gain
for the buyer. They are the things that he ever lives to buy and live to have.
He sold all his life time investment just to buy that one thing which is the
Treasure and the Pearl.
He lost all his life time savings and property just to have
His heart desire treasure. Until you
lose, sell-off what you have to God, you cannot receive from Him. What God has
given you is “TIME”, He wants to share it with Him, sell it to Him or give Him
your quality time for His benefits and gains in return.
I once met a Sister who is looking unto God to give her
husband. She came to me for counselling. During the counselling, she said she
has gave her all to Christ for a year and God did not answer her, so she
decided to fornicate just for one day before coming to see me.
I told her that the Bible did not say you give God your all
for a year, a month or seasonal. Apostle Paul said, “Those things that are gain
to me, were those things I counted loss for Christ sake”. He forsook his time, energy, money and neglected many things
to follow Jesus Christ, and everything turns to him for a testimony at end.
What happened to this Sister was just the opposite of what
happened to Apostle Paul. Those things that were lost for her are those things
she gave to the devil not God. She lost her time, virginity, body, her spirit
to the devil and received lost as the reward. But thank God, she is now a born
again, saved and more than enough testimonies of God at her disposal.
Never think you are doing God well or favour by serving Him
and giving Him your all. It is yourself you are doing the favour. Continue to
give Him that time and continue to lose all your time for Him without
grumblings or murmuring. The more time you lost to Jesus this year, the more He
brings you to your covenant dream land. You are sharing your testimonies
this year. Even this month, you are sharing your testimonies. Also, some of you
reading this now will share your testimonies today in the name of Jesus Christ.
Remember, everything and all things that can only be gains
to you were those things you gave to Christ, were those things you lost for
Jesus sake and can only be those things that cost you something because of
Jesus Christ sake.
