A person with a thankful heart is one who's had an experience with the
Lord Jesus Christ that has absolutely transformed their life.
Gratitude has a way of awakening us to the countless blessings that God has daily bestowed upon us. It works in a special way in our hearts to align our thoughts to become more contemplative upon those things that the scripture verse from Philippians 4: 8 inspire us to think upon...

Thinking on things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, and of good report have a way of cleansing our minds. They have a way as well of increasing our gratitude level, and from there changing the way we converse with others, because they segue our thinking into a higher level of gratitude.
Hebrews 13: 5 reads "Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have; for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee."
So the more gratitude that is developed within us, the more content we'll be with what we have, just as the scripture says. However, more importantly God's "faithfulness" will become paramount to us; more important than financial and materialistic gain; more precious than power obtained from status positions; and more enriching than the approval of man. Gratitude mellows us. It softens our harsh tones of vocal intonation, so that our conversations will become as fresh as the wafting breeze of autumn.
Let it not only be our duty but our privilege to work towards becoming more grateful every day of our lives because of the great price that was paid for us through the sufferings of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
